It depends what you value - the south is generally warmer, but it's also a lot more expensive than most of the north. Contrary to the beliefs of many southerners, there is as much culture up north as down south, so that makes no difference... I honestly can't think of any differences aside from weather and money.

I have lived in both for quite a few years and the North is much friendlier but the South has more to offer

I personally, have always found that the weather is warmer in the south, and people more warmer in the north?

Its swings and round a bouts, horses for courses, both are equalling attractive, people are people where ever they are.
Personally I love the MIDLANDS!!! Always have been a middle of the road person!

If it's north, such as Yorkshire, ah what a beautiful place with lovely people, scenery and food!

If it's south as south as Cornwall ... now your talking! Love it! Or Devon... ah cream teas! :)

Can't decide? Well that's what the midlands are for I reckon. lol

I dont like living in London. Actually I hate it. I found the north to be really friendly, but they got more drunk up there......I have always loved Bath though, and can't wait to go to Cornwall someday. I will have to stick wtih the South though.....

Oooh Debs, I think Ethel is suspicious.
South if your rich, north if you like fried chocolate. And before any northerners start complaining, I live further north than the U.K.
