Simple pleasures..?

What are your simple pleasures in life? Those ordinary things that give you a comforting, warm and overall good feeling.

I love feeling cosy in bed.
Listening to the rain patter on the window at night.
Soft grass or sand between my toes.
Fresh sheets on a bed
Getting my hair washed at the hair dressers
The rustle of leaves
The sound of waves and the smell of the sea

Finding a ladybird and watching it as it moves over my hands
My cats just being cats.
The relief of a thunderstorm after a very hot day
The smell of coconut oil
I could go on forever!

Wow, all these things are things I love but I have taken them for granted, because Life gets in your face so much these days.
I love it when is snows here in Texas. Because it hardly ever does. I love to float in my pool in the summer, just me, with the music on, listening to the birds and the neighborhood noise, drinking a beer or two, just doing absolutely nothing. Which is rare for me. But all those things you listed are things that are dear to me, and I need to listen and participate in the Simple Pleasures more. Thanks so much for the reminder.

Lying on the hammock on a spring morning, under the elm trees in the back yard.

Drinking lemonade on the porch swing in the middle of summer.

My daughter brushing my hair.

The smile of a innocent child.

The smell of cookies baking in the oven.

The extreme relief I have when I get OFF a plane.

Curled up on the chair with a great book and some hot tea.

Basically, anything that does not thwart me, gives me some measure of pleasure.

I love feeling cosy in bed as well. I like listening to the raindrops fall on the roof of my house. Looking at the stars at night when it's a clear sky. Putting on clothes that just came out of the dryer. Soaking in a nice hot bubble bath. And just chilling with the one you love.

Simple pleasures?? Well, I like being in-love...... The simplest and the very most complicated thing in the world... Pleasure and pain... Yeah, I absolutely adore this feeling, I worship it.... There can be no simple pleasures without love... People who don't love, don't live... They exist...
