I just don't care?
I don't care why they made a mistake or how it was made, just that it is fixed. I don't care why it took them too long to do something. And I especially do not care to talk about the job... my job is NOT interesting so I don't need to have any conversations about work topics for "fun."

You sound like a real treat to work with. I'm sure, given your attitude, people won't want to work with you for long, so the problem should take care of itself.
When someone comes to you to talk, I would just look them in the eye, explain to them that you don't care to listen to a word they have to say and that they should just leave you alone.
You sound pretty unpleasant so I'm sure people will get the message. Good luck keeping your job.

I think it's perhaps time for you to find a new career that will make you happy. You sound miserable and i am glad i don't have to put up with it. You are irritated with people having excuses but you have too many complaints. Time to get a new job.

It sounds like you really dont like your job. I guess people feel like they need to explain their mistakes. I think it makes them feel better. Don't take it personal and dont let it get to you; there are worse things in life.

Have you considered a change of occupation? People who like their jobs tend to 'talk shop' when they are together.

You need to let people know this. Or, you can ignore their explanations. You could interrupt them and have them move along with their statement. You have to be polite, but firm. Let them know your feelings.
Good luck.

Your yahoo answer name "optimisy" doesn't fit the picture of "I just don't care? Maybe you should change your name to "
"negativism!"
