Bbbbut, I hear from the conservatives that the only station they have is FOX. If that is so how can we say that so many more are skewed to the right? It's confusing.
Since the beginnings of the nation American media has generally been skewed slightly to the right. The center and left skewed media have held their own and have exposed some wrong doing the other's couldn't find. To hear neocons whine and complain these days you would think the media has been severly skewed left.
Coulter, Hannity, and Limbaugh must be skewed left by their logic, FOX too. Shows what they know.

Ok...first things first. Are you waking up on Sunday morning and watching it? I tend to think not, so why bother?
Second of all, here in America, there's this thing called Capitalism. I'm thinking that the majority of the people watching these shows at 7am or whatever on NBC et al are 157 years old or more, and are most likely not your typical Prius driving, Bush-hating lefty. In fact, they're most likely watching it for commentary on the government's fiscal aspects...healthcare, social security, etc., and could probably care less about whatever your concern of the week is...melting ice blamed on Bush, melting ice on Mars--blamed on Bush, rising gas prices--blamed on Bush and so on. If NBC and them see this trend, they can capitalize on it...if they find they're wrong, then they can change their format...but apparently, this works for them.
In other words though, these old people, they're not "conservatives" in the normal, vitriolic sense...they just care more about the unsexy issues like taxes and money, like most conservatives do. You know what they say..."if you're 20 and a conservative, you don't have a heart. If you're 40 and conservative, you don't have a brain."
Besides...why does this bother you so much? Do you think at their age, they're incapable of changing the channel? Incapable of deciphering a lie after being alive for 6-10 decades and how many wars? Are you smarter just because you're younger, and think you know more than them, or at least what's good for them? Better than they do themselves?
Come on back down from the soapbox and find another lame issue to force on people based on a website's questionaire and your personal opinion.

There's a reason for this. It's called "DEBATE". Almost all of the regular week-long news presentations are slanted to the left and there's hardly ever any counterpoint but on Sunday News shows, debate is the key and the left just can't stand up to a reasonable presentation of facts.

Strawman. The "Sunday talk shows" are political commentary. Pundits are invited on and paid for their opinion.
Major news networks, however go through great lengths to editorialize even the most straightfoward story with a left slant.

It's interesting analysis, but it just seems to evaluate who appears on the shows. Equally important is how those guests are questioned - whether they are pitched softballs or if their responses are challenged.

If you don't like it turn the channel. That's what they tell us parents who complain about some of the objectionable material that is shown on MTV and other cable networks.
