My fiance and I are planning to try for a baby in May, we're getting married in July, My insurance is going to start in April, and I'm getting a prenatal checkup in April. We are also going to paint the second bedroom before we start trying for the baby. Do we need to do anything else before then?

You don't actually *need* to do anything much before the baby is born.

We were planning to move house and hoped to do so before our baby was born and I so hated the place we were living that I just couldn't bring myself to buy stuff for the baby until we moved house. Well, we didn't manage to move before the baby decided to come along.

We'd been given a moses basket and my partner went out and got some babygros, sheets, blankets and nappies and that was that. All she really needed was me!!

Good Luck with everything!

Wait until you are married before "trying" for a baby, duh...
