The best information on grants is at the source:
http://www.grants.gov/
But you are HIGHLY unlikely to find a grant for which you would qualify. Last time I checked, out of 2,000 or so federal government grants listed on grants.gov, about 1,000 were in healthcare and over 500, in education.

If you are looking for federal grant money, try the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance found at www.cfda.gov.
If you are looking for state money, contact your state's department of environmental protection to see if they have grant money available. You can also contact your state representative or senator to see if they will sponsor a bill to support you. Many representatives and senators have pet projects that they seek funding for (otherwise known as "pork funds").
If your preference is to seek private foundation money, try www.foundations.org.
Another resource to check out is the small business administration at www.sba.gov.
Another good resource for information about grants in general is The Grantsmanship Center at www.tgci.com.
No matter what kind of funding you are going after, it is important to have a well thought-out plan for any grant application. Be able to answer the questions: What are you going to do? Why are you doing it? Exactly how much will it cost and where is the money going?
The most important question is Why? Most grant giving organizations are interested in funding outcomes. They care a lot more about the results of your project and why you are doing it than they care about specifically what you are going to do.
Good luck!

I am sure in your area there must be a govt agency to help small entrepreneurs like it is in India. Here is a Department of Small Scale Industries which appraises one's potential and recommends to the public sector Banks. Even cooperative banks do extend financial and technical help. Otherwise interested parties will assist you. You will have to post your proper requirement. I am sure it is possible.
