also...does other atmospheric conditions such as air pressure and altitude effect the speed of sound?

I had a look in the wikipedia and couldn't find any mention of humidity affecting the speed of sound.

Temperature and altitude have effects on this too.

higher humidity slows down sound waves, they take longer to commute a similar distance. Water as a real gas (no longer seen vapor, droplets, or steam) has a decrease density then the dry blend of atmospheric gases, more beneficial or less 5/eighth's. that's the reason a dropping barometer shows storms drawing near, because the humidity is going up the air stress is going down. Sound commute fastest by elements of more beneficial density. those 2 information at the same time clarify why the speed of sound is slower with severe humidity. Annoyingly, sound is going by water as a liquid a lot speedier then it does by air, following the rule of thumb of higher % in additional beneficial density count number.

Yes, humidity changes the medium (air), so yes, it does change the speed of sound slightly.

1)the speed of sound increases with the increase in the humidity.
2)the speed of sound is independent of pressure.
3)the speed of sound is inversely proportional to the square root of the density of the medium(note that density decreases with increasing altitude)
4)the speed of sound increases with the increase in temperature of a gas.
5)the speed of sound increases or decreases according to the direction of wind. if wind is blowing in the direction of propagation of the sound waves, the speed of sound increases, while if it blowing in a direction opposite to that of the sound waves, the speed of sound decreases.

Since sound and temperature affect the sound, changing the medium by adding water or something will probably change it.

only temp and medium that changes the speed of sound
