It seems like a lot of people who call themselves Christians are spending a lot of time insulting and ostresizing the gay people here. It makes me wonder if they are just out of important things to do. Since they proclaim faith in Christ as their motivation, what does that mean? In their towns, are there no un-cared for kids? No lonely old people, no dsiabled children who no one will play with? Where are these citites where people live without any Christian responsibilites, and all the free time to go on the net and insult gay people?

I am fairly comfortable with my level of commitment to humanistic causes. I'm not going to do a laundry list here, but I will say that I make about 2/3 of what someone with my credentials could make, so that I can work at a community clinic in the worst part of one of the worst cities in America. And even when I am here, blowing time, I am scanning for that person who needs an honest outstretched hand. I am trying to spred the messages that I was taught by my excellent family. There is a lot more I could do, and I could be a much better and kinder person. I could drive slower. But I think it's important to call you on it when you say you speak for Christ, and then spend your energy spreding unhappiness.

So--- We hear you. We know you hate us. Mission accomplished. You are now free to go on to do other things. Go visit a nurtsing home and play cards with someone. Go work a shift at the shelter.

I agree. I have volunteered at a hospital, helped people who were snowed in and delivered meals to the elderly. I'm Gay. Plus there are a lot of other things I've done to help people. Let's see some of these bashers on here list some of their charitable work.

I think you are confusing hypocritical "christians," who preach anti-LGBT hatred and bigotry, and certainly do not deserve that title - with true Christians, who work for peace, justice, love and tolerance. :o) You can see a few of the first kind have responded to your question.

And to Java Jive - I have cared for more hospice and HIV/AIDS patients than you will see in a lifetime. I had delivered meals to the elderly, infirm, and housebound. I have done AIDS education in South Africa. I have gathered food and mailed "care" packages to soldiers in Iraq, among them being my brother.
Shame on you.

I've always wondered why the gay community complains so hard about what Christians are not doing to help people in misery while sittings on their butts in front of a computer.

There is no law barring gays from helping people in need.
