Oh my goodness mathandashukela... that's horrible. I hesitated asking this question because horrible things like this happen and you hate to hear about it... so sorry - I hope you're doing well today.

When I saw the car coming around the street sweeper, it was too late. The car was coming right at me, like slow motion.
I remember the terrible sound of metal smashing metal.
I was looking down and I saw blood pouring on my shirt. Strange that I didn't feel anything. I looked up to check myself in the mirror, but the mirror was missing and the windshield was smashed
I had a 3" gash in the top of my head which made a real bloody mess, but nothing serious. The other driver had some cuts and bruises.

The accident was my fault, although no one was arrested or given a ticket
Funny how it's always some other idiot that hit everyone else.
Guess I'm one of the only idiots that uses Yahoo answers

2003 S10 ZR2 truck a couple years ago (YEAH it was still under warranty), spun out on black ice. Went bass ackwards into the ditch on the opposite side of the road, truck rolled onto it's right side. And me like a typical dummasss didn't have my belt on "yet" (It's so dumb, like I don't think I need it unless I'm up to highway speed, and I was just leaving town when this happened). So, here I am laying on the passengers side of the truck, which is now the bottom, and the engine is still running, so I shut that off. Then I thought "hey, how am I going to get out of this sonofabittch?" so I look around. I didn't think I could open the drivers door since it was on top, so I turned the key on and opened the drivers window and climbed out. I sat up there on the door frame until someone finally came along and I flagged them down to call the cops. Nice day to forget my cellphone........

When I was 17 I had an old AMC Rambler. My girl friend and I had been out partying and were headed home about 2:30am. A drunk driver ran a stop sign coming from my left and I t-boned him in the right front fender. He was traveling 90 mph and I was traveling 35mph. It folded the front end of my car almost 3 feet and just about killed my girl friend. She was in the hospital 17 days and didn't remember anything about the wreck. Brock her right arm in3 places, 2 of which were compound fractures. She wore a cast for almost a year. I got a few cuts and bruises, but mostly came out of it unscaved.

I was with my best friend in high school. We were going to get pictures from Wal-Mart because we were on th eyear book committee. We came to a stop and a Ford Ranger hit us from behind at about 50 MPH. We didn't even see her coming!! We were in a mid 90's Chevy Cavalier. IT CRUSHED LIKE A CAN!!!!! To make it worse, the person who hit us was driving a PEP BOYS company vehicle. She didn't have a license nor did she have insurance on the vehicle.
She didn't even bother bumping the breaks when she came off the expressway. . .

This lady in a van ran a stop sign @ 45mph, t-boned me in the passenger door. Knocked me unconcious and I lost control of the car, DRIVING INTO A HOUSE.
I lost all memory of the accident; my first recollection is of being in the hospital, and then at home later on. I was pretty banged and bruised up, but no serious injuries, thankfully. I drive MUCH more carefully now!

A guy I was driving with took a curve at 60 instead of the posted 20 by mistake, we slammed in the gaurdrail, flipped it and ended up in a pond. He was fine and I had a dislocated shoulder though so it wasn't too bad, the car was wrecked though.

Mine was in Sacramento, Ca., when I was 16. I was side swiped by a big rig, and my 1969 Dodge Charger flipped end over end 3 times. I was pinned underneath my steering wheel. I suffered a collapsed chest, and broke 1 leg, and 1 arm, and had a sepital skull fracture.

I was in a white sporty car in heavy fog, stopped at a red light and was rear-ended by a large pick-up going 60. Thankfully I walked away with only facial injuries. They were scattered all over the highway, and while no one died, they spent weeks in the hospital and months in physical therapy. My car was totalled, though, and everyone who saw it couldn't believe I survived. God is good!

I took driver ed and was praised by the instructor for my excellent driving....took my driving test and aced it......I thought I was a great driver at 16.....that is until I lost control one night on ice roads...I was driving dads car and I smashed into a guard rail...I wrecked 7 lengths of guardrail and smashed his car. (not done yet) Dad had the car fixed up.....it took him a month before he let me have the car again. It was the first day of March break when he let me have his car again...that night I completely wrecked his car....black ice this time. I wrapped his car around a pole...I was acting stupid at the time. The great student driver turned out to be not so great....lesson learnt.
