My current job is convenient, because my employer is flexible with me, since I'm a Grad student. However, the job is very monotonous and not related to the education I'm pursuing. I'm also beginning to make mistakes, due to bordom and monotony on the job. Should I sacrifice convenience for something else more challenging....and for more money?

Right now, you need to focus on finishing grad school. Believe me, there aren't many employers who will be flexible enough to allow you to do that.

As far as your boredom on the job, I would say suck it up and do the best possible job you can. Remember, you're getting paid to do a job and you have an obligation to do it well, regardless of whether or not you like the job. Consider it as good life experience for your next job. There will be plenty of times in your job that you're bored out of your mind, even in your field of choice. That's just a part of growing up-you have to take the good with the bad and deal with it.

Always keep your options open.

I am a firm believer in being happy in work place.
As you are there x amount of hours - is it worth your time and effort? Keep your eyes out there and if something sparks your interest throw it out there too you are "looking" (don't get caught of course).

Good Luck.

Do you want your tombstone to read:

She didn't challenge or fulfill herself.
Instead, she opted for a life of convenience.
