wrie protection error on my card?

i have memory cardof 256 mb and whenever itry to store anything from my computer to card it is showing your disk is write protected can you help me to remove it

you can change you memory card reader
try with new one then the problem will be solved
because i have the same problem lot of time

Memory card? SD memory card by any chance?
If so, take a good look at it - Label side with connectors facing up (oriented so beveled corner in upper right) . On the left edge 3/4 of the way up you will see a moveable slider. Up is write enable and down is write protect.
