a women with just a plain gold or silver band for a wedding ring instead of a diamond? Do you see anything wrong with this?

i dont think theres anything wrong with it, i have wore my wedding ring on its own and with my engagement ring. but surely its up to the person wearing it what they want to do. Its a symbol of love not wealth !

I definitely don't see anything "wrong" with this. I know many women whom may have a fancy engagement ring, but choose to only wear the band because the diamond ring is impractical, or so the diamond doesn't get lost, etc. A lot of nurses don't wear their rings, because, the ring can get dirty with all the nooks and crannies, as well as carry bacteria to the patients!

I think that she probably has the engagement ring at home.
Many times when you go shopping, the diamond can get in the way so it's better to leave it at home.
Sometimes you want to use the solid gold ring for work and such. It's only an indication of a marriage. The real part of marriage is when you marry your special person and they love and understand you - and you smile just thinking about them.

I know quite a few women who have plain wedding bands, some that are very nice and some that aren't very nice. It's all in the design of the ring.

Now if that like it that is great but if ppl have something wrong with it that is there problem they probably thinkng that it is cheap but not to worry i like them they are plain simple and you can do almost anything with them. The dimond and jewels are harder to have you have to take it on and off all the time so thats what i think

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I had to wear one when I was pregnant because my fingers were so fat I couldn't wear my diamond. Everybody has their own taste and styles.

what? he didn't know he wanted to marry her? he couldn't save enough money to get her a diamond or other engagement ring?
