The article goes on about Gerald Butler starring in the remake of Escape from New York. I am extremely disappointed by this news. The original is a landmark in action and sci-fi type cinema that should never be remade. I am embarassed by my own generation as well in their ignorance to the original which starred Kurt Russell.

I was a little surprised by this news too. While I am a huge fan of the original, it doesn’t bother me that a remake is possible. If they can pull of a good movie, that’s great. If not, I could really care less. Whatever they do will not take away how much I enjoy this movie. But Kurt Russell would be a tough act to follow.
