the marlins are more fun to watch as miguel cabrera, dan uggla, hanley ramirez, and dontrelle willis are very exciting players. unfortunatley the mets have a VERY good team because their payroll is about 200 times the size of the marlins'. plus joe girardi is a great manager and the marlins fired him for some reason last year.

well u both can find legitimate points, but my opinion is as far as history, past, present, future, tradition, fan base and all that I gotta give the edge to the mets... They have true fans that stick with them year in and year out, even with one of the biggest sports teams in the world right by them, they have won atleast one championship that I know of, but they have been around a long time, had hall of famers on there team, and there a true baseball franchise. Now the Marlins u can argue have one 2 penants in the last 20 years (since mets won there last one) but they are not really a big traditional team like the mets, they get a bunch of young talent, train them, coach them really good, win one world series and then dump all of them for cheap prospects, and repeat it all over again, that kills there fan base cause all the fans can count on a couple years of losing, and some probably get tired of waiting and give up... I mean they were so close to being relocated u dont have much to argue with Im sorry...thats nice that ur a marlins fan but its like being a bobcats fan in the nba, some things just dont work out, they might get lucky a time or two, but in the end, especially in baseball its the history, tradition, or consistency that matters....

The Mets (much as I hate to admit it) are a Powerhouse and have hardly any weaknesses. The Marlins are a team of mainly youngsters and haven't the experience or the player resources to compete with the Mets.

Marlins are still a few years away, good young talent though. Mets are currently a better team.
