I have presently gone back to wired internet connection which all works well...

Hi

Well ,it its like that i means the your WIRELESS connection is not up and running , now try this , open your IE , thre on the addresss write down , either , 192.168.200.1 or 192.168.1.1 tis could be your to ip addres of the router , once you logn into it , look for the wirelees tab and go into it , then look for the part that says SECURITY o ENCRYPTION , thre select the one that says , 64bit encryption , then look at the bottom of the router and there it should a be a number , write it down , and then right click your wiereless conection and select VIEW WIRELESS NETOWRK , when your equipment just double click it and when it ask for the a encryption key then just write downd the number you found on the bottom of the router

I had this same problem with my Linksys. In the end I found out the modem was not compatable and had to change the Linskys to another one...make sure yours is compatable.

Call Linksys support. I had to change the IP address of my Linksys router when I took it to my son's house. This is simple to do and they will help you do this.

are you sure you entered your WEP or WPA passphrase correctly into your wirless card configuration? You *do* have a wireless network card, right? Also, make sure your card and the gateway are on the same network/subnet.
