no, the woman deserved it if she hit as well. and this is coming from a woman.
i completely disagree with abuse, of course, but if she hits him then, he has every right to retaliate.
people get caught up in the fact that if a woman gets hit, she is being abused, but they fail to realize that men can be abused by women as well.
Would you do anything about it if you saw a woman completely degrading and belittling a man? this happens ALOT, but no one does anything about it. Mental abuse is just as bad, if not worse than physical abuse.

I wouldnt intervene in someone elses dispute. Ive seen people do that and end up getting beat up by both the woman and the man. If I seen a woman getting hit by a stranger in the street or by a group of youth, then I would intervene

I agree with nc_strawberry 100%. It is nice to know that people have a mind out there and I am l gad to see a number of you agree with the fact that someone hitting someone is wrong either way. If anyone hit you, you should have the right to strike back, honestly, would you let a woman beat you to death? It is nice to see the way most people resopnded t this qeustion.

Unless it's a close family situation, I would walk away. You never know if someone is drunk or high on drugs. By intervening, you could be hurt yourself. You could simply call the police about the incident.

call the police , stay as a witness for the guy
she started it first and should be reprimanded/put on probation
Women have to realize that they cannot hit anyone without repercussions

i would do nothing if she hit him and then he returned the favor
but if he started beating her up then i would try to break it up
