Gay people do not choose to be gay, it's who they are, just like a black person is black.
I don't think that anybody in his right mind would ever choose to be gay... for starters is very hard when growing up, because the whole world seems to be against you...
And as you get older and you start to fall in love it gets even more difficult want the chance that the object off your affection is also gay is very slim. So then you have to go and look for a partner elsewhere... Depending on where you live those places are hell... And then comes the time that you have to tell your family, friends, co-workers... and some off them will never talk to you again...
You'll be called names, be chased after, and if you are unlucky beated up, things like that...and only because you happen to love someone off your own sex...
No honey, it's not a choice, believe me...

We don't "turn" this way. Why can't people understand that simple concept, We are born this way. We didn't have a choice in the matter. We are what we are. Why don't you "turn" your brown eyes in to blue eyes. Oh you can't , you can wear contacts, but that is just a cover, underneath, your eyes are still brown. Get it.
You bring up the Bible. Of course, that's the only thing you can use as an argument. Here is an interesting and documented tidbit. Did you know that most of the sections of the bible were re-written in the 1700's. It was re written to include the limits of what the church deemed moral. There were books of the Bible that were removed at that time, because the male dominated church did not want women to be revered. Have you ever heard of the book of Mary Magdalene. Probably not, your organized religion wouldn't want you to think for your self.

I was a lesbian even before I knew what sex was. You know when you first go to school, and you develop little crushes on boys or girls? Even as far back as 2nd grade I would get crushes on other girls. And even before that, my celebrity crushes were always on other women (Catherine Bach, aka the original Daisy Duke comes to mind). This was before I knew what sex was, or that there are some people who love the same gender. It's just how I'm wired, and I've never tried to fight it. It's not like one day in college I decided that it would be fun to have sex with women.

Homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is not something people choose. We're born the way we are.
Please check your Bible at the door.

We don't "turn". People want to be themselves. My attraction to other males was no more a decision than my eye color or being right handed. The majority of those you refer to as "turning" are/were attempting to live a life as they were taught/forced to believe they are supposed to be as compared to accepting themselves for what they truly feel.
