I want to connect my i-mate Jasjam cellphone with my sony note book through wi-fi?

I want to connect my i-mate Jasjam cellphone with my sony note book through wi-fi but there is not any interface of Access point i.e NOTE BOOK & CELL phone connects directly as we connects two PCs through Cross Cable Directly so kindly help me in this problem
