Why do some educated girls decides to become prostitutes?

I would figure that they would make better choices being educated.

I think it has to do with money. Studies show that some college girls become prostitutes to earn money to pay for their schooling. It's a dangerous way to earn a quick buck.

Just because you have education does not mean a person has the financial means to live. Some decide prostitution gives them more of the material items in life they want instead of using the education they have paid for.

Others use prostitution as a way to pay for education. It mostly depends upon the "person" that is doing it. Some countries it is completely legal as where here in America it is not.

Certainly, often, even most often, for the reasons posted above.

Remember that not all prostitution has anything to do with pimps and drugs. A well paid escort can make upwards of $1000, more, even, an hour and choose her clientele as she wishes.

Still, if a person enjoys sex, does not need to attach intimate emotions with the act while still enjoying it, is aware of the risks and protects herself against them, and carefully chooses her clientele then why not have fun for a few hundred bucks an hour?

Do you seriously not know men that would have no moral issue with doing the same?

Laws and social views regarding prostitution are oppressive to women. They assume that women are incapable of choosing this without being of sound mind. They assume women need to be protected simply for being women.

In a world where men have to troll and all but beg (or, quite often, even beg) at bars and night clubs to get laid while women can not only pick and choose but take their time in doing so prostitution is bad because it would allow women to have the same sexual freedom as men and profit from it [financially] as well.

Imagine a world where we are allowed to do with our own bodies as we please. A world where it's actually legal to exchange money for that which we do anyway. A world where things like this are accepted so there is no need to go through parasitic middle men and women like pimps and madams. A world where he act of allowing it universally and without judgment will actually cut down on the amount people forced into it by desperation or other people.

We'd have to abandon our Victorian/Puritanical/misogynistic view of sex and women in general, of course.

But, yeah, some women do get into prostitution because they actually want to. And should it be so odd that an educated woman would? Someone who has nurtured her ability to think for herself rather than adhere to the dictations of society?

Desperate need more money
Looking into having fun
Lack of a father growing up
Hanging out with the wrong friends
Dropping out of school
Drug abuse

-Not all educated people are necessarily smart. There is a difference between book smart and street smart, or just plain old common sense. Some have all, or more than another. but I believe that in life we are free to make our own choices and the problem is people do not realize the consequense that follow.

Dragonrider, whens the last time you bought a hooker a HOUSE, or 50,000 dollar SUV?? I see nothing wrong with a willing woman. Hell none of us guys would ever have gotten any where with out one. But the educated girls probably got sucked in the same way the drop outs got there. Drugs,money, hooked up with the wrong guy or a million other possible bad choices.

They do it for the money. Most of them won't do it their whole life, though. It's just a way to buy a house, or something big. I'm talking about those who have had some sort of choice, not those who have been imoprted from other ocuntries or who are on drugs.

Perhaps with all their education they have figured out that they are going to get s.crewed anyway so they may as well pick and choose when, where, how and with whom and get well paid for it also. Sounds very logical to me. Especially when some of those girls make 6 figure incomes for doing the same thing a wife does for free. You go girls!!

There are hundreds of reasons, it just depends on the girl. I know for a fact that hard work and clean living doesn't always pan out.

...combination of love of money & sex. If you could make lots of money doing what you like, how would you choose??? Also, an education is not cheap....it is well known, many college girls hv ended up stripping to help pay for their college education...

I once saw a tv programme on this subject and they interviewed a girl who said she loved the attention. She said her punters "adored" her.
Otherwise I suppose high class hookers must be paid more.
