The Loch Ness "Monster" or Nessie as some call the creature, live in the a lake or in Gaelic "Loch" formed by a glacier in the Highlands of Scotland. The Creature has been recorded though out history. The earliest report was in the early 400 to 500's A.D. A Creature was terrorizing a the villages along the loch, and was said to be some sort of water dragon. The villagers asked Saint Columba to put a stop to the Creature, so St. Columba went to the loch and when the creature came out of the water; Columba spoke these words. "I demand you in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit to return to the water for which you came and you shall be curse to live in the Loch until the end of Days" With that the creature went into the water and has been there ever since. This maybe legend or it maybe fact, but never the less the creature has since been seen in the loch many thousands of times and if the legend is true will be there until the end of time. Some say it live in the caves under the dark recesses of the water. The Loch itself is at it deepest point around 900 feet deep and over 2 miles long and 1 mile in width. The chance of something living there with out being detected is not that hard to believe. I hope this has answered your question.
