Yes I believe EVER! Rome never had the freedoms we have, Egypt had slaves for 5500 years and abused it's own people for Centuries.

America how I love you! I have travel to 26 nations in the past 13 years and America is by-FAR the greatest nation on earth EVER!

Can anyone disagree?

No one can disagree. America is the most prosperous nation the world has ever seen and also the strongest militarily.

America became these things in large part due to some of the greatest minds in history constructing a government unprecedented in history. It also became great because of the strong Christian principals the founders believed in.

I have to agree with your love for OUR home, but.......

you must remember..."where ever you go...there you are" Most people Love their homeland and tolerate the leadership of their civilization, where ever that may be. If their homeland becomes painfully intolerable they seek out more comfortable surroundings. That's why they come to America.

No matter what the situation here in America, if you're feeling down or confused about where the country is going...just walk outside of (YOUR) (HOME), listen to (YOUR) (EXPLOSION FREE) community, look at the (YOUR)(SMOKELESS) sky, and breath in (YOUR) (AIR), air that may on some days be a bit smoggy in the cities, you will never smell (DEATH).

What a wonderful place to live. I too have traveled the globe, and I would NEVER consider America to be anything but... the "Greatest Country in the World".

I think that's why so many people try to swim, walk, crawl or sneak by any means to get here, and have for centuries.

AND FURTHERMORE : For the people of the UK...The Founders of this country were British subjects that fought YOUR KING, exercising their God Given Rights, as British-men to fight for THEIR land here in America. Oh and we do have the beautiful land of Canada tucked under our loving wing of safety,..... how nice of America.

AND for everyone else: EVERY conflict the United States has ever been in, has had allied forces from Many countries supporting those conflicts. The United States has in turn supported many countries in their conflicts. Maybe everyone should start fighting their own wars and let us concentrate on becoming even Greater.

as you, I have been to many country's and America is by far the best, however if we are to remain the best our people must stop bickering about these petty things and pay attention to what is happening as we have certain elements of our society who is diligently conniving to destroy our country, some idiots call it conspiracy nuts, call it what you want but while you are , open your eyes and see what is going on around you it took our people 200 years to build this country into the strongest , richest, and freest country the world has ever known, now in the last 50 years a certain segment of our society has successfully gained control of our media's and T,V, stations etc, plus our monetary system the 2 things our forefathers warned us to protect at all cost,
England was smart, they kicked them out when their politicians saw what was happening , Germany was not so smart so what happened to them? no America has been chosen for their next project to destroy, so far they have had a free hand ,no opposition , unless we wake up and defend our great country we will be worse than Germany ever was as we don't have another Hitler,so Americans had better get involved , wheather they subscribe to my Way of thinking or not but if you become involved you will make a difference so please lets preserve our inheritance with diligence, as if we don't we will surely miss it when it is gone,

Are you MAD? America the best? you must be out of your mind.

America is stamping on everybodies toes, America puts its long nose where its not supposed to be. Remember Vietnam, why did America go there. Do you think if America was best there could have been 9/11. Just see where America is, Iraq. Did America follow the UN instructions to go there, no. Now look what America did in Somalia, poor people been killed by the ussual soothing words, freindly fire, is there freindly fire where people loose their lifes. Weddings, parties etc being hammered and we are told its friendly fire. Can fire ever be freindly. Its the first time to hear this and i dont like this word because people hurt others in the name of fires that are friendly.

I dont want to talk more but please be serious. At the end of the day Bush may face the trabunal, he must be careful. I just dont like what America is doing. Just come down to earth and be human and not animals. Other countries are watching. They are not stupid or something. Please just be human. You can just see the nature of America. You just want to cause world war. Those Arabs will not take it lyieng than you thot.

British Prime minister Tony Blair was asked why he supported the USA so much and he put it like this, " you can judge a country by how many people want to get into it and how many want to get out of it."
If the USA isn't the best country in the world, then why is it that everyone wants in, but nobody is trying to get out?
There is no way anyone can argue this point. If someone says the US is such an awful place, then that is because they haven't made it here yet.

Yes. The United States is the greatest country EVER! And I find it amusing to read some of the answers questioning this from Europeans who spent HUNDREDS of years colonizing the world, enslaving native peoples, and killing TENS OF MILLIONS in two world wars! This country may have it's faults, but I refuse to sit here and let some Euro-Trash tell me that they're better than me after my grandfather's saved them from themselves 63 years ago!

Why bother? You want change your mind. But indeed many people could disagree you know. Because if it had not been for ancient Greece and the European Reneaissance and the French Enlightment, America would have nothing of what makes it great. Also, it has so many shameful things, like violence, racism, cheap culture, destruction of the environment, etc, that you can't be proud of. I am telling you this not in order to piss you off, but although it is good to love your country, it is also important to look at the problems, in order to correct them and make our country even greater. I also love my country, but it also hurts me to see the flaws, because if we didn't have them we would be even better, and I put all my efforts as a responsible citizen to correct them!

BTW, FREEDOM AND LIBERTY IS DEFINITELY NOT AS GOOD AS IN THE US IN MANY PLACES IN THE WORLD, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT UNIQUE TO HAVE IT AND THAT YOU DID NOT EVEN INVENT IT. EUROPE IS BY FAR MORE ADVANCED IN THIS ASPECT. THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND CONSTITUTION WERE INFLUENCE BY THE FRENCH RELEVANT TEXTS, AND ALL COUNTRIES IN EUROPE HAVE THE SAME, SO WHY IS THE US BETTER?

No there's plenty of room for improvement. You probably mean economically great (and you'd be right, America certainly has bullied its way into being rich), but there are better places to live, like the Mediterranean, where family and happiness values are placed above financial gain.

I can't disagree with you. No matter what your political stance is, the US Constitution and Bill of Rights makes us the best ever.
