actually both are correct and are accepted by the board in the exams but we use 'everyday' as the correct one as we mostly use it like this

It depends what you are using it with.
Everyday means encountered or used routinely or typically. Example: everyday activities (normal activities).
Every day means each day. Example: every day I have breakfast.
