That's one problem that were faced with is age. I'm 51 no little children. If you have little children you have all the help and resources in the world.

Food is no problem, there are many different resources for food, one can't starve in this country.
help to keep you from being homeless because of a crisis there is no help. I Have just applied for ssi and they say it will take 3-5 months or more because they use an outside source to investigate findings. Went to catholic charities and they will pay one months rent only if my income was equal to my expences. thats a joke, I wouldn't need help if that was the case. Right now i'm lucky if i can make a car payment.

You definitely need help. I would contact www.daveramsey.com and see if they can't get a counselor to help you. With creditors breathing down your throat you need
specific information and a game plan. First of all know your priorities: Getting yourself, food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, come before any creditor get paid. Credit collectors are excellent at badgering you emotionally and causing you to make emotionally based decisions. You are definitely in difficult circumstances but no situation is hopeless because God is able to change any circumstance.
You may be forced into bankrupcy which is very sad,
but it must be a last resort. After you get guidance, taking the initiative to contact your creditors and work out a plan
is very wise if it is possible. But time is running out. Unfortunately, so many people today are in similar circumstances. And helping resources are limited.
Hope this helps. Dave Ramsey also has a national radio
call-in program and you could call him today. His program is on weekdays from 2pm to 5pm. Look up www.daveramsey.com to get his toll-free phone number.
Hope this helps!

First off I am sorry that you are hurt. You need to go to the welfare dept. of your state and apply for help there first. you will get medical help and help with your bills not much but at least somthing. to keep you going if you are permently disabled you can also apply for ssd through your state. Yes I give to my church but i do know where my money is going as I am also a trustee. Everyone gets mad at the church for wanting people to tith but the church has bills to pay also they have utilities to keep up with, and the pay for the minister and the staff, they also have to pay for there all the curriculum for sunday schools also all the meals they put on for the community the church has tax free status not free status for everything. sorry, all i can do is offer prayer for you. I wish there was more but that is all I have.
