We see the marraige is a joke and have encouraged dad to move child into her own room, but no one will take action...not mom, not dad...and they don't listen to family...So how will this affect the child? She will probably stay in mom's bed until college.

this is a family member- the bedroom has been set up for her for years- no one is putting her in her own room

I believe the consequences will be devastating. Are there no other children in this family? It sounds like just one symptom of a dysfunctional family, and could affect the sexual orientation of the child.
A suggestion would be for the family to set up the girl's bedroom (assuming she does have one!) in a very attractive and enticing way--a place where the girl will want to be, and want to go to sleep. And perhaps the mother could lie down with her each night until she falls asleep for awhile, but then go back to the parents bedroom, where she and her husband could then sleep together. Of course, if the husband has a snoring problem then that may need to be sorted out (he needs to be aware that it is a problem if he does snore).

When first reading the question I was thinking infant to early chilhood! But 9 years old in bed with mom and dad??? I'm not even going to touch on this one!!!
