I've not spoken to my close female friend for 4 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. SHE ONLY WANTED TO BE FRIENDS!

We 3 WEEKS AGO at a friends party,we spoke a lot,but she still looked hurt+uncomfortable at times.

Today I asked her if I could add her as my friend on FACEBOOK(via email), she wrote bck: asking how I am,what she done on her wkn and said I can add her "as a friend lol"

She wrote back last evening again, saying I should be having fun with the ladies and to join her appreciation society! She even signed of with 2 kisses as she used to before!

I'm a bit shocked as she said via txt that the friendship is OVER!!!Did she mean what she wrote in the txt???

Is the friendship restarting??? A POSITIVE SIGN???

p.s. only want friendship-nothing more.I've gotten over her now.Only asking if this is positive in terms of friendship - not romanticly!!!

hi there, it sounds positve to me, she probably didnt mean what she said before when she said it was over. it sounds like she has missed your friendship and wants things to return as normal. except her invite and show her that you no longer feel that way and that you just want the friendship back too. it sounds like you were good friends so its worth a try. good luck xx

Personally i think this is a good thing, i think your friend said in the txt that she didnt want to be friends because she didnt know how to deal with your feelings for her.

I was in the same situation once and it can be overwhelming that someone you value as a close friend turns around and confesses feelings that are more than platonic.

My advice is that this defientely is a good thing, however dont go to overboard, take things at a nice pace, and she how they work out, you never know you may get that great friendship back that you thought you had lost. But be patient and not to pushy. Keep me updated :)

It would appear that things are back on track with regard to friendship. I would take what she said in the text as nothing but being hurt at the time, as you wanted to distance yourself from her, and maybe she was hurt by that. So long as you have got over your feelings for her, you should be fine to be friends, but of course there is the whole "When Harry Met Sally" scenario, so just wacth out. See how it goes, and good luck with it!

I would say she is a good friend. She was hurt by your actions, that is easy to see. But it sounds like she has overlooked that fact and is ready to get the friendship back.

By what you have said i would guess that her feeling towards you are nuetral, they could change at any minute but at the moment luck seems to favour you, and shee seems to be trying to reconnect the broken friendship, stay steady and dont rush anything into her to quickly.

Let this die a nice quiet natural death, it's going to lead to something NO GOOD. There is no such thing as only friendship. Believe me or someone else, but mark my words, I'm right about this one buddy.

sounds like a good sign... just don't bring up the fact that you are over her... just make sure she knows it by how you act... but don't mention it.

looks like it could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

you will most likely sadly lose her as a friend. once friendships cross the line into something MORE, they never go back, ever. well at least theres always that alkward tension.

Well............not wanting to be friends does sometimes mean that they want nothing to do with you. Not wanting to be friends also means that they want MORE than friendship! Which do you think she wants? Which do YOU want???
