Hi sweety. I suffer from depression & most ppl tell me 2 take a pill or ask the Q why. Well sometimes just everyday worries can get us down & it's hard not 2 worry. It is easier said than done I know but try to keep yourself busy, find something u enjoy doing & focus on it for awhile. Even having a really good cry can sum x help, or talk with sum 1 u really trust about what is bothering u so bad. When ur depressed it can be hard to self motivate, but at least try. Go for a walk, or to the gym. Exercise is a very good way 2 relieve stress. Also u could try looking at photo albums, sounds kinda corny I know, but it can be relaxing. Especially if those pics bring back good memories. If talking with a close friend/relative, or relaxation doesnt help, & the depression continues seek professional therapy from a counselor. This is nothing 2 be embarrased about, millions of pple do it evry day & it does help to get out all of our negative feelings to sum1 who isn't biased. Just try not too keep those negative feelings that have got u down bottled up inside. I'm sure ur a wonderful person with a beautiful smile & have people that love & care about u.

How long have you been depressed? You may need to see a Psychiatrist for medications. There are several types of depression. Different kinds of depression need different kinds of medications. This could be situational, winter blues, major, post baby blues. Please see a Dr. and have them diagnose you and then take appreciate steps. Sometimes keeping busy can help. But there is nothing to be ashamed of to take a medication to help you feel ready for activity, some times a person just cannot get up and get busy until they have had their brain chemicals corrected. Depression is an imbalance in the brain chemicals. Good luck.

get really depressed on random days sometimes-I gave up on counseling, and should be on Prozac or something, but money talks. Any way, when I'm down it feels like the world's gonna end-but it hasn't yet. It's a cliche, but when you're at the bottom, you can only look up. Little things you can to do to help would be: open your curtains-sunlight releases something in your head that makes you happy, get enough sleep-that's a big one for me, and if you're in a rut make a plan for simple improvements. I just moved out on my own for the first time and it's helping me a lot. I've noticed too though, money, or lack there of can really bring you down. It may not buy happiness, but life's hard and hopeless when you can't afford daily life necessities. So maybe get a job or a second one for awhile-meet some new people, get on top of your finances. Oh and one last thing, if you feel alone, get a cat or dog. You can't help but feel better when you're down, when they rub their nose on your cheek, or purr when you walk in the door. Ok, I'm done, good luck, it'll get better.

Depress a spring.

Now get the spring to depress itself (it can not).

If you can not find the source of the problem within yourself it must be from somebody else.

Possibly somebody has been caused to feel unhappy by you not wanting to share you emotions/affections with them(along the lines of sympathy pains) but they are directing these feelings towards you, causing you to feel their pain?

Do all the usual thing to cheer yourself up eat chocolate cake, listen to happy music, enjoy any weather.

Imagine a happy version of yourself inside your mind cheering yourself up at every available opportunity.

Do something interesting, take in some culture, nice scenery, go on holiday, seek advice from a wise and venerable sage, find religion or spirituality.

Take a more active part in your community.

Have faith in Humanity, Society and your community.

Are you feeling better yet.

Wow!! That's a tall order for not knowing what's wrong!!!

First, figure out if there's anything wrong in your life. Has this depression just started or have you felt depressed so long you can't remember when it started?

If it's something small - figure out ways to work it out. Talk to a good friend, family member, pastor about what's bothering you. Maybe it's as simple as needing to talk to someone and letting it out.

If it's deeper than that, you might want to consider going to a counselor.

Good luck!

I don't know how to help you, unless I know why are you depressing. If it is very bad then you need to make an appointment with a doctor or talk with someone closer to you. We are someone like you. All we have for you is just opinions when there is a details from the questions.

It depends one whether you're depressed because a particular event happened or if you're depressed simply because you are.

Personally, when I'm depressed for no reason I eat cookies and other sweet things and watch movies.

But when I'm depressed because something happened, I go shopping by myself for a long time and I'll usually be able to forget a bit of what had happened and get over it. (I don't even necessarily have to buy things)

Why are you depressed whats getting you down. Make a list of everything that is getting you down then along side each one write down what you can do to change this. e.g
Im single... i dont have to answer to who about when and what time i get in like friends of mine.
Be positive you will see its not as bad as you think.

IT'S EASY FOR PEOPLE TO SAY PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER WHEN THEY HAVE'NT SUFFERED DEPRESSION.I HAD AN EPISODE ABOUT 5 YRS AGO AND NOTHING ANYONE SAID OR DID HELPED.YOU REALLY NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET SOME MEDICATION.IT WORKED FOR ME AND I'VE BEEN OK EVER SINCE.
DEPRESSION IS A MEDICAL CONDITION SO DO'NT THINK YOU'RE LOSING IT OR DIFFERENT TO ANYONE ELSE WITH AN AILMENT.
WITH TREATMENT YOU'LL BE OK
THERE'S ALWAYS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
BEST WISHES AND GOOD LUCK
