Gavasker's sarcastic comments about Aussies are funny. It's old habit. During Karachi test in 1982, at night players were watching a video movie. By seeing a provocative scene of hero-herine he shouted,"Mr & Mrs Dilip Doshi." In 1987 after his dismissal on first ball of Jaipur test he wrote in a newspaper as: A section of Calcuttans were happy with this. In 1988 while interviewing Imran Khan for 'Mid-Day'said,"A respected lady(Benazir)has been married recently & when she becomes pregnant, president Zia will announce for new elections. Ha!Ha!Ha!" & asked him,"How many wickets(girls) u hit up out of cricket grounds?" Shortly before world cup in India in1996 he wrote as:Pakistan team is coming here, a large number of people of a community(muslims)very much like them. Such fascistic statements come from only few groups. Last year Shoaib Akhtar's doubtful bowling action was cleared by ICC for play with India. Only 2 days later he said," Shoaib may again be tested." What is wrong with him ?

May be he should'nt have commented about them while he is involved officially in cricket in India, but who else cares about these things, the oz behaviour is crossing the limits in recent times. who is bold enough to question them??

Ricky pointing's reaction is very harsh towards sunil and india,he really should have not reacted very harshly like this when he is playing for his country that too in WC press meet and most importantly he is the captain of his side, thats why when the captain itself is like this then what will you expect from the other players.

anyway, SUNIL should mind his tongue to keep this off-field controversy down at least till the WC ends.

I think Gavaskar very emotional person, according to your above stated statement is true, some of the emotional speech deliver by the Gavaskar very emotional.
The behaviour of Ricky ponting always harsh towards their opponent but ICC not looking in this matter tell me honestly, if such behaviour shown by the any Asian player will he baned or punished, definitely yes the are winners but not a champion.

"Pakistan team is coming here, a large number of people of a community(Muslims)very much like them." This statement at that time some extent was true. I am telling you an incident you will feel amaze no matter what your nationality is. IN 1986 a famous match was take place between India and Pak, Javed Miyada hit a big six on the last ball of Chetan Chauhan to see Pakistan home. The muslim community at Chandani Chowk in Delhi start celebrating the defeat of India and victory of Pakistan If they loved that country should migrate their at the time of Partition what they were doing here even the worlds bad person not celiberate the defeat of his own country. But know thing has change the became more mature then previous ancester. They celebrate the Indian victory over Pak in 2003

You talk about the Bengal people they are more concentrate on the local issue then national one. Once Ganguly droped from the team due to the poor form. They also celebrate the defeat of India against the SA. Such a people have no right to live in India.

But Gavaskar Should take care of his tongue.

Mr. Gavaskar is Father figure for Indian cricket. He is the only Indian cricketer of early days who showed courage to protest against any misbehave, undoings of the players of England & Australia. He is great. We support his "Jeehad" for the well being of indian cricket.
More over he fights for India, not for Pakistan.

He may be feeling that he is a demi-god of Indian cricket. Popular individuals sometimes behave silly. May be this is one such case.
