Because you are smarter than most of us smokers and have much more will power. Because you realize that you will be healthier and have more money in your pocket. If you have gone this far I would stick it out. I plan on trying real soon myself. I love shoes. My goal will be to put aside the same amount of money each time I would have bought a pack of cigarettes and when I reach an amount to purchase a new pair of shoes I will have something more than black lungs to look at. Most important, because your family loves you and needs you in their lives. Good luck, I hope I can do the same soon.

I am also quitting, and going through the withdrawals you are. Some good ways to help them is to chew on a toothpick whenever you have the urge to smoke, or take a long walk until the feling passes.
Do something productive as well, one you normally would not do in your life, to try and break the routine you got in when you were smoking, such as instead of waking up and lighting up a cigarette, change to having a shower then work on fixing up the house or finish chores you have been putting off for a while.

omg,yes I hear you on that one,I tried, but started again, however,DONT start smoking again, each day it will get easier and easier,I know all kinds of ppl who quit. Stay strong, and WIN,you can do it. If you have to scream, then scream, punch the crap out of your bed,or pillow's,something like that, then it wont hurt you, lol, and if you need to cry, then do that too, whatever it takes. Try some of that nicotine gum to help take the edge off. Good Luck to you, better health!!

Did you replace the habit part? I quit a little over a year ago after smoking for 25 years. I replaced the habit of having to do something with my hands by doing crosswords and word searches. You're over the nicotine withdrawal, now it's the habit you miss. btw, you should see me rip through a word search, I'm on fire!

I'm jealous of you. I want to quit smoking too but I haven't. Keep it up girl. Just distract yourself so you won't think of smoking again. Look who's talking huh?!! I know you can do this.

Think about how much money you would be spending per month on cigarettes. What do you want to spend it on now? Look at some shopping catalogues or something. Don't go crazy though.

For overall well being and happiness. Smoking is just disgusting and gross. Plus you'll just feel better about yourself. Believe in yourself. You can conquer through this.

4 days, well done you, apparently the first 3 are the worst and then it gets easier from there, you are over the biggest thing--deciding to give up, and taking the 1st steps, keep going, think health, think cash, think how strong you are, KEEP GOING! -----coming from a smoker!

Because you know that it is a nasty habit, bad for your health and that of the people around you, plus it makes you waste money.

I know, I am trying to quit too!!
