You want to be very careful what you go sticking in a microwave. Anyone who has ever seen Sky One's "Brainiac" show will know exactly what I mean, but they are professionals. Sure, it'd be cool to stick a CD in and press the "on" button, but there's another great piece of advice from that show too:
"Don't try this at home!"
You'll end up torching your house or something...

if you have the room and and old microwave, I have seen that CDs are quite funny. but probably best not tried in the house.

never try it - ever! but see if you can watch it on youtube somewhere, a bottle of champagne...!
the microwave completely explodes and champagne goes everywhere, its good to watch!

try putting in a CDrom...of you microwave it you will get mini fireworks!!!
