we have m/s
we know one metre=1/1000 km------1
and one second=1/3600 hr-------------2
now substitute in m/s=m/s,we get
(1/1000km)/(1/3600)hrs=1m/s
therefore,
1m/s=3600/1000 km/hr
that implies
1m/s=18/5kmph

Convert m/s to km/h

m = meter
km = kilometer

1 km = 1000 m

s = second
h = hour

1 h = 60 minutes = 3600 s

then

1 km/h = 1000 m/h = 1000 m/3600 s

1 km/h = 1/3.6 m/s

1 m/s = 3.6 km/h

Convertion

A runner runs 100 m in 10 s (almost the record!) ou 100m/10s ou 10m/s

what is this in km/h?

[m/s] * 3.6 = [km/h]

10m/s = 36 km/h

A Ferrari reaches 270 km/h. What is this in m/s?

270 km/h = 75 m/s (divide by 3.6)
