I play the Wii quite often and have since opening day. My strap has not broken because I'm not hurling it like an actual bowling ball. The only way the strap can break is if you are letting go of the Wii-remote as you swing which only a fool would do. I also have no pain to speak of because I'm not using over exaggerated movement like the geeks in the commercials. It doesn't take all of that to play. If you play with some control and common sense you'll be just fine.

Sorry - not had any problems.
1st - Managed to find a site that checked online stock and just ordered from one of them.
2nd - playing it is lots of fun. Have experienced aching limbs but only due to actually doing the exercise. Would get the same if I went and played tennis/baseball etc.

I played Zelda for hours on end. Take breaks.
Your movements don't have to be so broad. It took me a while not to over-play the came. You can play tennis without over-extending your arm.
Find a chair that you can rest your arm on (arm rest).
This also helps to stable cursory stance (i.e. shooting). Which causes much armstrain.
As for sword swinging, like Zelda, use the remote more lever-like so as to maximize the swing with minimal movement. That helps to.
And stretch before and after. pull your fingers back toward your wrist (not to much, just a little)

My body was aching all over for five days after playing it for the first time. That's because I wasn't used to using those muscles. Consider it a good thing that you're getting the exercise.

Personally I had no problems getting it and I did not have any pain from using it, except when i boxed like 20 some matches in one day. That made my arms feel a small amount of pain. I have heard of people feeling pain from it but not everone feels it. It may depend on what games you play.

haha. i had similar problems too, i played with mine for 3 hours straight and my shoulders started hurting so i took a break, the pain lasted for like 3 days eventually it was gone. And there was a hilarious moment when my cousin hit me in the stomach with it because she was flinging her arms around yeah that hurt. Take breaks from time to time and make sure everything around you isnt so close to you so you avoid breaking stuff or hurting or even injuring somebody! have fun with it!

as a wii player i can say you get used to it. your shoulder muscles totally get bigger lol.
seriously though be careful of repetive stress injury from playing too much, but in some ways the wii is better for the since many of the motions arent as fine as a typical controller
but yeah wii-strain is common
