It has paid a toll on my life and my marriage. My periods are 10-16 days sometimes twice a month, I have chronic lower back and pelvis pain, I get sharp pain sometimes during sex and bleeding, some days during my period I can barely move off the couch. I can never make plans in advance because I don't know how bad it will be that day. I have just learned to deal with it and take lots of Advil. Luckily my husband does understand what I am going through and helps me. I personally don't know about fertility since my husband had a vasectomy since I didn't want to go through having kids. My mother has endo too and it took her a long time to get pregnant for the first time but not the second and third. Good luck. Not all people experience the same symptoms of it. So good luck finding something that helps you.

Endo is a distressing illness....(has recently been recognised by the medical profession as an illness).

And like other illnesses it effects people in different ways. For example it ruined my quality of life completely. I was always sick and in dreadful pain most of the time and was incapacitated for three weeks out of four. Eventually my overall health suffered so at the age of 38 I had a hysterectomy. And never looked back in that respect.

However, I did manage to have three children whereas my daughter who suffers from it has problems with conceiving and after ten years of trying for a baby she had two lots of IVF and my grandson is a result of it.

So I would suggest that you research information on the Internet about endo. Lots of good websites out there and there are many hospital that run groups for people who are sufferers.

You have been dealt a double whammy and must feel wretched about it. However, you must eat well and keep as fit as you can as I swear that this things can prevent the progression of endo.

I'm sorry I cannot comment on polysistic ovary syndrome as I have no experience or knowledge of this condition though I have read about it on the Internet.

I wish you all the very best and your mum has proved that conceiving is a possibility but not inevitable when you suffer from endo.

Hi, I have suffered with endo since I was 12, I am 37 now. I have had numerous laparoscopies. I found out as I could not conceive either. The best bit of advice I can give is to look at the national endometriosis site for info and support. There are women on there that know all about it and what you are going through. I also found a support group very helpful as everyone had tips that could help. The pain I found best dealth with with a TENS machine. They are quite cheap now and easy to get at most chemist. It worked wonders for me. Other than that I was prescribed paracetamol, voltarol and codeine. This worked for me but prefer the TENS. I have not been able to conceive but my relationship changed and I have not tried for years. I am actually ok about this as before I found it hard to deal with. Hope this helps.

I have been told by my doctor that I have a mild case of endometriosis.
My periods were painful and very heavy and when I had intercourse it was unbelievably painful!
I went to the doctor and complained of all those things I just mentioned, not to mention, I couldn't get pregnant.
The doctor told me he was going to do a laproscopy surgery on my reproductive organs.
(Laproscopy surgery is basically an exploratory surgery on organs.)
Anyway, I agreed to the surgery and he found scar tissue on my uturus, ovaries and fallopian tubes, which was causing the pain. He also found that the scar tissue was pushing my fallopian tubes away from my ovaries which was causing my infertility. He lasered off all of the scar tissue and within five months I was pregnant!!
I now have two kids.I also have no more pain with intercourse!
Although my doctor did tell me that the tissue was sure to come back over time and when that happened, I could once again get the laproscopy.

i was told 4 years ago that i had emdometriosis i am going in for my second operation next week and i have asked them to give me a hysterectomy as i cant cope i was also told when i had my daughter 7 years ago that my pregnancy was very lucky to have gone as long as it did (not sure whether it was caused by endo ) i gave birth at 7 1/2 months to a baby weighing 3 lbs 6oz she lost 6oz within 1 hour so we are lucky to have her then they told me that if i was to conceive again it could be worse so i had to avoid it hence the hysterectomy in the hope that i wont have to suffer the pain full periods any more and the fear of pregnancy. go to your doc and ask for mefenamic acid (if unsure what it is its a pain relief for all pains ie. head ache tooth ache muscular and menstrual pain) it helped me i hope it will help you as i know how pain full periods can be with endo also you may notice that your periods will get irregular as time goes on don't panic it is just what happens and you could notice lumps forming in your tummy area thats the endo as for trying to conceive go with the flow if its meant to be it will happen good luck

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/oAJMg

Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.

First get blood work to confirm pcos. Then get a laproscapy to find out about endo. It is a in and out surgery and it goes through your belly button area and they look and see if there are any lesions. it is the only way to really be sure. then start aggressively checking your options, hang in there good luck

Well its not exactly me who has it, but my mother was diagnosed with it at 18 years old... along with PCOS and fibroids..

..She is quite stubborn, and doesn't take her tablets, and prefers to just 'deal' with the intensive bleeding. But she has went on to have me at 20years old.

After giving birth to my sister at 25years, she was told to have her womb removed, and that she wouldn't be able to have any more children anyway... being stubborn, she didn't!

At 35years she fell pregnant with my last sister...!!

It is really heavy, and pain full for her.. but in terms of fertility it hasn't obviously affected her!!!

I'm afraid I can't help personally, but hope you will get some more advise from other with this. But it terms of fertility.... there is always hope!! Good luck!

Endometriosis treatment;is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.

My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
