Well, I suppose when the airplane speed is not sufficient to keep it flying, the gravity prevails, that depends of course on
weight and shape of the plane...
When the plane filled with fuel hits the ground it will of course
explode in flames due to sparkling effects of crash landing...

The force is equal to mass X acceleration. In the case of running air craft it is the retardation. A heavy retardation to bring it to O velocity causes the air craft to catch fire.
