This past saturday I went into my backyard shed to get my lawnmower and I found a homeless guy sleeping on a pile of old rags, I woke him up and told him to get out and he pulled a knife on me and told me to 'back off or I'll knife ya', he said a friend of his was coming over, and that he had a gun.
I went inside and called the police, but they did nothing. That night his friend turned up, another homeless guy. I can hear them arguing and singing late at night, I think they were drinking, the smell is disgusting.
I called the police again but they told me to stop wasting their time. I spoke to my lawyer and he told me that they are squatters and they have rights etc etc.. I didnt think it would be this hard, I just want them out.
What are some non violent methods I could use to get these guys out?
I dont want them coming after me for revenge, I want them to leave of their own will if possible.

Get a bigger gun, and knife. Get a skunk and let it loose in the shed. You story is unbelievable. If they are on your property then you need them removed. Get locks and lock up your shed. Tell the police that they are threatening you ... bring up charges on them and file them with the police.... Are you for real? If you feel threatened then you have the right to protect yourself. Go to court and file a complaint against the police and against them. Get a new lawyer. Get a court order of protection as you feel you are being stocked. You sound like a person that lets people push you around. Take control of your property and life. Oh yes one other thing try getting a dog.. a big guard dog.

Why do you want them to leave? If it was my shed, I'd offer them a shower and give them some food and try to help them cuz thats probably what they wanted anyways. If I was homeless, thats what I'd want.

Give them some blankes and put a lock on the shed when they ae out!!!!!!!!! This is not good tell them youll pay them $$20.00 to get out!

unfortunate accidents happen in garden sheds sometimes, tread on a rake, put the lawnmower fuel too close to the lawn fertilizer. i would advise them that it is unsafe to stay there. make sure they get the point.
