This is an interesting question. Al Gore won the relative majority vote's with over half a million more votes than the Republican George W. Bush. However there was supposed to be a recount & it was stopped as apparently their wasn't enough time in which to do it all. Secretary of State Katherine Harris certified Bush in as the winner of Florida's electoral votes & Florida's electoral votes gave Bush the votes needed to be elected President by the Electoral College. So this made
George W. Bush to-days 43rd president of the USA.

Unfortunately it is G. W. Bush who said he won the election decisively and gained much political capital and was going to spend it as he saw fit. Well, that he has done and has run this country into the ground further than any other president in American history. He's a LOSER in my book, not a winner.

Whoever said John Kerry was elected is living in a dreamworld. I can understand the arguments for Al Gore (whilst disagreeing with them) - he won the popular vote, after all.
However, John Kerry lost the popular vote and he lost in the Electoral College. In short, he lost.
Oh, to answer the question, the President of the United States of America is George Walker Bush.

If you are asking if Bush is the elected-president of the United States of America, the answer is no he is not the "elected-anything" at all.
Do some studying and you will see for yourself that he was not "elected" at all but he stole the office.
Have you ever heard any call him president-elect? The answer is NO, because they all know better then to call him that.
As to who the elected-president of the USA is. there isn't one at this time but hopefully there will be soon.
I may get blasted for my answer but I do know what I'm talking about so do your research and you'll see for yourself that my answer is correct.
