This idea merits serious consideration. Too bad for Starbucks, they are too expensive anyhow.

While I don't think that banning tea or coffee with reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and thus end global warming, the idea falls along the same path as taxing people off of the roads. In other words, it's based in lunacy.
As far as I'm concerned, government is the biggest crook there is. If they can get by with charging us all more taxes, in the name of reducing greenhouse gases, then that's what they'll try to do. Of course, it'll be as effective as trying to put out a raging inferno by pissing on it.

this is probably the best idea i have heard in a long time, even from all these poxy polititions. Do they actually think that they can go back to the time when we rode horses? Get real. Cars are going to be here no matter what and we need to think of different ways. Tea and coffee suck, think of all the people with a caffiene addiction. I totally agree, even sign a petition.

The government shouldn't be taxing you off the road. They should be investing mch more in public transport. The more attractive the puclic transport system, the more people will use it and if you still have to use your car, there will be less people on the road and therefore less traffic.
Use energy saving lightbulbs and turn your heating down by a couple of degrees and save the planet!

I suppose both taxes are right, perhaps we should not give babys hot milk for the same reasons. Anyway i suppose you are jogging. But the fact is that such decisions make people see the tree and lose the forest. Such decisions would be appropriate for the middle age era.

No I don't agree. In ten years time you will be bleating on about how unbearably hot the weather is but I bet you still don't see the correlation between your driving habits and climate change.
If you MUST drive, switch to a smaller engined, lower emissions vehicle. I have.
