Starts ok, had a tune up 1 year ago, new plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor. Got to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running often or it will die at stop signs. Tranny seems to be shifting funny also.Second gear seems to take a little longer to shift and it shifts into overdrive at about 30 mph. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check your IAC valve ( idle air control ). My gmc was doing the same thing. I replaced this part and the problem went away.

If it runs fine in neutral but not idling when you're in drive then you may have a problem with the torque converter not releasing. This is like a manual car with the clutch not disengaging. If it's not idling anytime even in neutral you may need a throttle body cleaning.

Sounds like a vacuum leak on the engine somewhere. It could be bad gas to, try a bottle of HEET in the gas tank.
