is there anyway to make my ipod shuffle 2g louder?

its seems that ipod have put a volume restrictor on my euro ipod, my mate has one from the states which is louder, is there anying I can do, I am responsible enough not to play at it loudest.

is there no programs out there to do this , nothing works on itunes, the shuffle itself does not have any menu on it or screen just play, next song and volume, very basic.

go to settings on your ipod and look for sound check and then turn it off.
sometimes its the song that you download or you just need a new pair of headphones. you cant just use any head phones for your ipod only a certain kind because the volume will not be that great

There are mods for the shuffle out there, try googling it. You'll have to update the firmware or modify some default software in the shuffle. Think that voids warranty tho

Have you tried changing the headphones?
I have an iPod video, and found it to quiet.
When I used another set of headphones i was surprised at the increase in sound.
