tried garnishing her wages but only to find she had quit her job and moved back home. She called us about 2 weeks ago saying they took her income tax refund. I was just wondering if anyone knew when we should be receiving the money ? Thanks for your help.

Good Luck. We have been fight for child support for my stepson for 10 years. Every time the child support unit catches up with her, she quits her job or works under the table for someone.
I recently contacted a company who goes after a dead beat parent and they make sure the money is collected.
Hope this helps.

It just depends .. it took almost a year , for my husbands x to recieve the money due to her..through income tax.. my husband lost his job last year and was out of work for a few months, so they took that out of our income tax which was fine by us, but we were upset to find out it has taken her so long to recieve it, because untill she's issued the check even though they have the money in hand, they will still say that u owe the money.. now in our case, they held on to it to make sure "I" wasnt owed anything first before handing it to her.. so it can be awhile..

a deadbeat is a deadbeat, male or female. and they should be taking far more then that from her.

first they intercept it (if its been submitted for tax refund intercept [state and federal, call to find out from your caseworker]), then they do lots (and LOTS) of paperwork and then its reissued. it may take a month or two.

look at it like this; pennies from heaven, honey... pennies from heaven. :)

i bet she'd pay more if they put liens on her bank accounts... or garnished her wages (she must have a new job by now).

Fess up. She isn't interested in paying support. She is trying everything possible not to pay. I do hope she isn't seeing the child.

Only legal thing is to take her to court.
