I don't know if I have any issues with either one of these spiritually, I haven't thought that hard about it yet. The only spiritual issue that I envision is that of going to the extent of trying to shape characteristics for aesthetic reasons.

Scientifically there remains no legitimate reason to clone humans, and with no realized benefit, it is not worth pursuing at this time.

As for gene therapy, it is the wave of the future and a way for those with Parkinson's, Cystic firbrosis, and a number of other illnesses to hopefully be able to live fuller, healthier lives.

I think that we are a lot further from being able to clone humans than many people think. Every time it is attempted there is a new problem that arises. I think it will be possible someday but I do not think we really need to worry about it now. I do not have a problem with human cloning; however, I do not think scientist should create life in order to destroy it.

I think Gene therapy has a great potential for curing genetic diseases. It does not have the ethical questions that cloning does,. Well, that is unless you have an ethical problem using viruses to save human life's.
