I believe "A Jack (Jill) of all trades). Since there is not always someone around to do the things that need be done AND not always feasible to pay for it to be done.

It is like changing a tire, either you can or can't and if you can't and your in the middle of nowhere and no cell service, what did not knowing and being able to do gain you?

Being well rounded will come in a lot more handy than just knowing one thing very well; although, you should have one thing that you are better at than everything else. Sort of like being a pilot that can work on engines a little or a carpenter that knows a bit about plumbing.

I think jack of all trades is best for survival. It gets you through in this world!
