I suggest you check out the film program at new york university(TISCH School of arts) and USC(California) Cinematography is a fabulous profession and India needs good cinematographers. You can also start by assisting someone in Mumbai for sometime,get some solid experience and then go to film school to polish your learning.

well, in the Guinness book of records, it states that India is the country is famous for Cinematography. But I suggest you to go to the US. They are the experts there and there are producers and directors from other countries, such as Ang lee and John Woo.
