I don't have any problem with people calling a chalk board a black board if it is black. If it's green call it a chalk board. That's not racist.
I think there are racist nursery rhymes such as Eenie Meenie Minie Moe. It is hard to determine if Baa, Baa Black Sheep is racist or not because you can argue that the lyrics are demeaning to black people such as the use of Master and I have heard people say "Yes suh, yes suh three bags full..." (Instead of "yes sir") As if somehow to imitate a black slave.
Personally, I don't think the name should be changed of the sheep in order to be politically correct. I think it is great to promote racial awareness but taking politically correctness too far is "baad".

i do not think that those things in any way pertain to race. i think that those names just reflect the color of the object that is being called. while i do not condone racism i think that thinking of chalkboards and sheep as racially offensive is just a little bit over the top

me personally, i dont put too much thought into it, until people bring it up. the word black is associated with everything bad according to the american/english language. however we are not black. i have not yet to see a black person as of yet to see a white person. we are african-americans. u or the rest of us are not the color of concrete or a dell computer. we come in multiple colors therefore it dosent bother me.

I have black friends who think its mad, they are quite embarrassed about it.
I have Asian friends who reckon the do gooders harm them more than the racists,as they are making out it is the ethnic minorities who are complaining all the time, when in fact it is not them.
