It's perfectly fine as long as your process is correct. For starters, that's how they make the jarred baby food. It's boiled, mashed and then jarred before any bacteria is able to spawn from it. Cooked food takes 20 minutes before micro-organisms start to grow, so if you can cook (thoroughly) and have an air-tight seal on the packaging, you're fine.

In addition, how you re-heat it is key as well. Again, the idea is if you're concerned about bacteria, make sure the food is recooked to kill anything present.

thats a grouse thing to do, i did it with all my 4 kids, way cheaper than jar food, and more fresh, but dumbo me once boiled some vegies and put them straight in the blender, the heat rose and the lid popped open while blending and the boiling food went all over my face making my forehead skin come off instantly, i was rushed to hospital, and thank god i never scarred, just cool the food down before u blend, have fun and try mixing all types of ingredients, like chicken with apple or carrot with pear, its fun and yum, have fun

Homemade baby food is the best, just remember not to add any salt or sugar to it. You can also alternate veges for cereal. I fed my baby cereal at dinner for awhile. Just don't substitute formula for food. He still needs as much formula as he was drinking before starting solids.

yes, I use to make all my baby food and freeze it.As long as you warm it correctly there should be no problems and do not store it too long in the freezer
