belt is loose

Its most likely just a loose or worn out belt. First try tightening the tension on your belts. This is the easiest fix. It should only take about 30 seconds to do this. If you are not familiar with this process it just involves loosening a nut on a slider that is connected to one pully on your belt and then use something to pry the belt tighter while you retighten your nut. If it isnt this see if any of your belts are not turning at all while your car is running or if one of your pullys are stuck in place while your belt is being driven over it. You may have a bad belt or a stuck pully. I personally had my alternator jam up so it would not turn, a bad belt and also just a loose belt. I'd try just adjusting the tension first. Its the fastest and cheapest way out.

its probably the fan belt.they will do that,if they get dryed out.take some belt dressing and put some of that on it,and if it quits, then its probably time for a new belt.
