My daughter was also born at almost 36 weeeks. The drs told me that I should base things on her development based on the day she should have been born. However with food items you can go by birth date. My only concern with honey is that it contains live cultures of botulism that can make a baby very sick. So to be on the safer side I have decided to wait a little while after her first birthday just to make sure. At her last WIC appt they said I could start giving her a little milk to taste so that she gets used to the milk before she is a year old to ease the transition from formula to milk. We started with about an ounce of cows milk in her sippy cup at 10 months old just once a day to see how she would do.

I'd go by her birth date. My son was a fortnight late but I didn't give certain things to him two weeks earlier, if you see what I mean.
Like anything, the age is just a guideline. A recommendation. It depends on the individual child. And the family (allergies etc.).
My son went on to cows milk shortly after his first birthday (we waited to finish the opened box of formula!). The same with honey. I know that honey is linked to botulism but I'm sure you won't be giving it in excessive amounts! I'm sure your daughter will be fine.
I hope she enjoys all these new flavours you present her with. :)

My daughter was born at 28 weeks and we did everything by actual age - so it's still a year old when you introduce things like honey etc.

The day you actually had her. Her due date is no longer a date to go by. Ask your dr. about honey If your worried, but I think it would be fine. My kids always loved it. I used to mix a tad of honey, And some phil. cheese, on crackers for them for a snack.
I gave my kids whole milk due to more Vitimins in it, and they say it helps the brain develoment.
