I taught at Dickinson College for 17 years, and lived in the part of Pennsylvania which includes Chambersburg. The first thing I would say is that the U.S. World News ranking of colleges ( which you should look at if you have not done so) lists it not among four-year liberal arts colleges but among what it calls Comprehensive Colleges, meaning that it offers degrees not just in the liberal arts and sciences but in fields like Nursing. This combination may be just what you want--that is, if you want to be prepared for a specific field of work after graduation, which the purely liberal arts colleges do not do, except perhaps for teaching school. Among the Comprehensive Colleges it scores high, ranking 18th or so. Twenty years ago , when it was pure liberal arts, Wilson ran into difficulty because, in part because it was a women only institution, it was not attracting enough students. I do not know the details but it looks like Wilson decided to reshape itself. The campus, as you probably know, is beautiful, with graceful buildings. Chambersburg is likely to have the virtues and drawbacks of a small provincial town, but this may be what you want--a small, idyllic place, which is not too distant from major urban centers. My response would be that you can't go wrong with Wilson College, but I do not know your other choices or your interests.
