what do you think about proposals to alter traditional stories to incorparate gay charaters? its meant to promote awareness in kids as young as 5!. no disrespect to any gay people but i think its outrageous...kids of that age dont need sexual awareness, gay or otherwise! would you remove youre child from such classes?

Yes I would! I agree with you totally! I have 5 kids & think it's up to me how & when I teach them sexual awareness. As it happens I have gay best friends & my kids think nothing of it. But they learn through me not daft stories! Snow white will be having a period in the dwarfs house before we know it so little annie from number 6 who's 4 will know all about woman things!
Honestly..... this countries up the wall!

If I remember correctly, traditional fairytales do not get into sexual preferences. Most do have princess marrying prince for a happily ever after, but parents should have the personal leeway to insert any labels they choose.

By the way, political correctness has gone way off the charts into realms that angel should fear to tread.

Political correctness again..Why can't these people leave our treasures stories etc alone? What next?. bestiality and paedophilia?..these are a fact of life too but there is no need to subject young innocent children to any knowlege of them.Let the young ones have their childhood, they will grow up and learn about the more unsavoury aspects of life soon enough.

there is no need for young children to be aware of sexuality in any way. why plague them with all the worries that they'll have to deal with when they're teens anyway? for the time being just let little children be children. blissful in their innocence. after that they have the rest of their lives to come to grips with all the sexual politics and self awareness issues that are going to come at them. i was in a shop recently and they were selling thongs for children aged 7-8. what is the world coming to...?

You might want to look up the new book "Lesbian Fairy Tales: Wicked Women of Myth and Legend." It has a lot of stories where the girl gets the girl.

I always thought that a lot of stories already had "gay" content if you went looking for it..Noddy and Bigears Seven dwarfs living together..Captain Hooks obsession with Peter Pan is all a bit unhealthy !!!

Homosexuality is a form of mental illness. The more these liberal freaks and homo's try to shove that crap down kid's throats in school the more I lecture my kids about how it's a bunch of sick crap.
