Could Americans without college degrees move there and make a good living? Can't seem to get ahead here... though I'm in college now.

There's the old idiom: "You get what you pay for."

There is a lot of oil money in the Emirates, and as a result, both the government and private companies can afford to hire the best. That means a lot of competition among very qualified and experienced professionals. The UAE is really a great place to live - if you're still in college, keep studying, get work experience, find out more about the UAE (Lonely Planet Travel Guide Book, for example), and start making plans....

It could be there are a lot of jobs there and I would imagine they hire foreigners, but from what I've read, it's an EXTREMELY expensive place to live...

yes, there is very jobs in UAE. Thye are looking for any US who wanted to work in UAE
