Hi,
At the moment the weather is great. It's around 9.00 in the morning and there's not a cloud in the sky and the forecast is to be sunny and a temperature 25c. Now that’s not to say the week you decide to visit Sydney the weather can change and it rains like Cats and Dogs. If you are visiting soon pack a medium warmth jacket mainly for the evenings and early mornings. Bring comfortable walking shoes, you will find you can see most of the sites by walking or catching public transport.
If you are coming from overseas, pack light weight clothing and not to much. There are heaps of sales on at the moment clearing summer stock, you can buy up big and take it all home with you.
The site below has great pictures of Sydney and all of the suburbs around Sydney taken from a light aircraft. Also have a look at Sydney’s Northern Beaches, like Manly, Dee Why, Mona Vale and Avalon

This is the link to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

The last few days have been warm in the day time, but it is starting to get a little cooler of an evening so pack summer clothes and a few warmer items just in case.
They have forecasts and you can check the past months records (or longer if you like).
This site has some great pictures of Sydney's major attractions

And this one has some good things to do

How is the weather? Its bloody hot!
The mornings are cool before 9am but then the heat!
Dont wear anything big and bulky - otherwise you will be just wearing an oven and you will sweat like a pig.
Pretend your going to the beach for the next several weeks - and thats how u should dress.

March is mostly a delightful month yet a moist one. Evenings could be cool so take a jacket. lots of the time denims and a t-shirt would be ok yet you will want a jacket. 80% of March optimal temperatures fall between 21° and 28° on a similar time as 80% of minimums are 15° to 20°. The median rainfall is 97mm on 13.5 days.

I think what he's trying to say is for someone to have an actual feel for the weather first hand and experience it themselves.
It can be 30C in one place but it could be totally different because of humidity in another.
